Melbourne importer, Swati Somaia, was raised in Kenya – the daughter of a missionary,  before moving to Australia.  She still has links to Kenya and when the opportunity arose to import this fine coffee blend, she realised that it provided the chance to do something positive about the horrifying death toll amongst African children caused by Malaria.

It is estimated that in Africa, a child dies every 45 seconds, from Malaria.  A simple and cost effective way to drastically reduce this toll is to provide families with insecticide-treated mosquito nets.  So that is what Swati has elected to do!  As the sole Australian importer of Africafe products, Swati will be donating 100% of the profits of sales of Africafe to help purchase mosquito nets to protect the children of Tanzania.
